Autonomy Corporation appoints Bite Communications to drive awareness in UK and US
LONDON - December 12, 2005:
Autonomy Corporation (LSE: AU or AUL), one of the UK’s leading technology companies, has appointed Bite Communications to be its PR agency in the UK and US after a competitive pitch. UK work stated on November 1, 2005 and the US work will commence January 1, 2006. Bite's account teams are based in London and San Francisco. The account is believed to be worth over $500,000 in fees. Previous incumbents were Octopus, UK and Outcast, US.

Paul Mackender, Bite UK B2B Head, is overseeing the account and Bite will work closely with its longstanding UK financial PR firm, Financial Dynamics. In fact, Bite's first major assignment after securing the UK PR contract was to assist FD with the announcement surrounding Autonomy's acquistion of its nearest rival, Sunnyvale, CA based Verity on November 4, 2005.

Working closely with Autonomy CEO, Dr. Mike Lynch, Bite UK and US programmes focus on raising Autonomy’s profile with customer and potential customers via coverage in key national, business, vertical and IT media, and by spotlighting the company's technology, customers and the people behind its success. Bite is also advising Autonomy on speaker platforms and influencer relations, and supporting Autonomy's in-house analyst relations team.
